Messing tip (patch holder) for Dewey Rods
Product description
The messing tip can be used in two different ways. The easiest is to impale the patches in the middle and push them through the barrel. When the rod is pulled back, the patch drops off at the muzzle. This is quit helpfull because the patch may only be used once. The second type of use is to wrap the patch around the tip and then push it through the barrel. In both cases the tip is centered by the patch so that the wall of the barrel is only in contact with the patch. By using differently sized patches a tip can be used for various calibers.
