Applications and Packaging
GunCer from Ballistol is a high-performance oil with ceramic additives optimized for gun care. It is suitable for long guns, handguns, and knives and is designed for precision shooters, hunters, and law enforcement. The oil comes in a 5 l canister.
Effect of Ceramic Additives
The ceramic additives fill micro-cracks and micro-grooves in the bore and on sliding surfaces, smoothing the surface. This reduces friction in the barrel and thereby increases shooting accuracy. Dirt adhesion and wear are also reduced.
Function and Temperature Range
GunCer provides emergency running properties. In semi-automatic and fully automatic firearms, it reduces loss of cycling performance, even with low-powered ammunition. The operating temperature range is -40 °C to approx. +210 °C, and the ceramic additive withstands up to 1000 °C.
Protection and Composition
GunCer protects against corrosion, prevents fretting corrosion, dissolves soot, and is water-resistant. The oil creeps well, prevents first-shot deviation caused by oil in the barrel, and does not resinify. It is acid-free, forms no acidic residues under heat, and contains no silicone or PTFE.
