Overview
The Reset Trigger System enables realistic, uninterrupted dry fire training with Glock handguns by automatically resetting the trigger without cycling the slide.
Product description
Function and Application
This system is the most effective dry fire training system available globally. It is designed to train shot sequences without manually cycling the slide and is intended to enhance hand-eye coordination and improve muscle memory. Additionally, it activates the Modified Striker Assembly to engage Laser Ammo's surestrike laser cartridge to pulse a powerful laser beam every time the trigger is pulled. The system is designed specifically for dry fire and laser practice only and must never be used with live ammunition, as live ammo could result in serious injury or death.
Trigger Characteristics
After installation, the trigger pull is approximately 2.9 kg. This additional pull weight is intended to strengthen trigger finger muscles, enabling rapid shooting and building stamina during prolonged live fire. For the Gen 5, if the trigger weight is heavier than 3.3 kg in some cases, the weight can be reduced by removing the Striker Rebound Spring from the spacer sleeve.
Compatibility
The Reset Trigger System is compatible only with Glock handguns. It is available in variants for Gen 3 & Gen 4 and Gen 5. It is not compatible with Glock Slimline models such as G43, G43X, and G48.
Removed Factory Parts
A properly installed Reset Trigger System will leave the following parts removed from the Glock: factory striker assembly, trigger safety plunger, trigger safety plunger spring, factory trigger and trigger housing.
Lieferumfang
The Reset Trigger System Kit includes the following components:
- Modified Striker Assembly
- Modified Trigger Housing Assembly
- Striker Rebound Spring (two, one spare included)
- Slide Stop Lever (included only with Gen 5)
Installation
Before installation, ensure the handgun is safe. First, remove magazines. Then, pull the slide to the rear to inspect the chamber both visually and physically and ensure no ammunition is left in the pistol's chamber. Always wear safety glasses when assembling/disassembling firearms and installing the Reset Trigger System.
Modify the Slide
- Field strip the unloaded handgun and remove the slide from its frame.
- Remove the slide cover plate and pull the factory striker from the slide.
- Next, remove the factory trigger safety plunger and trigger safety plunger spring. Both items are not necessary when training with the Reset Trigger System.
- Insert the Modified Striker Assembly into the slide. Remember: Do not replace the trigger safety plunger or trigger safety plunger spring. The extractor can remain without affecting the functionality.
- Before reinstalling the slide cover plate, drop one of the Striker Rebound Springs into the spacer sleeve, on top of the Modified Striker Assembly. Ensure the Striker Rebound Spring is positioned upright and not on its side.
- Reinstall the slide cover plate carefully. Depress the Striker Rebound Spring if necessary, as it may catch on the slide cover plate during installation.
Modify the Lower
- Remove the pins from the frame (including the trigger pin and trigger housing pin; Gen 3&4). From the shooter's perspective, these pins tend to drift out from the left side of the firearm frame to the right side.
- Remove the locking block. Lift the factory trigger and trigger housing from the frame.
- For Gen 5: Gently remove the Gen 5 Slide Stop Lever and place the provided Slide Stop lever in its place.
- Place the Modified Trigger Housing Assembly into the frame.
- Replace the locking block and the pins as you would with normal reassembly. Application of downward pressure to the trigger housing may be necessary while reinserting the trigger housing pin.
- Finally, like standard installation, assemble the slide into the frame. Cycle the slide once to ensure the pistol is in full battery.
- Verify functionality: The Reset Trigger System should engage the Modified Striker Assembly when pulling the trigger completely to the rear.
